About HISD

At Hidalgo ISD we pride ourselves as an Early College School District that is focused on developing a college and career readiness learning environment across PK-12 through collaborative efforts of teachers, administrators, parents, board of trustees, and partnerships with organizations and Institutions of Higher Education.

The U.S. News & World Report has ranked Hidalgo ECHS for the past two years as one of the “Best High Schools in America” providing opportunities for economically disadvantaged students to stay in school and achieve higher levels of educational attainment. In addition to academic recognitions, Hidalgo ISD has also achieved great success in U.I.L. Athletics and Fine Arts that includes two state championships and a state finalist.

The Hidalgo “Early College” School District is committed to make every effort to encourage, prepare, and connect all students to a successful post-secondary education. Through a “Total Team Effort”, our Journey towards “College Attainment for All” is becoming a reality.
