 Elementary:

 

Core5

 

"Core5 was developed with a mission to built on the science of reading, it provides equitable learning opportunities for all students, promoting their success and well-being. Core5 follows an adaptive blended learning model that offers explicit, systematic, and personalized reading instruction. This approach allows educators to deliver differentiated literacy instruction to students of all abilities. By using Lexia’s research-proven program, Core5 effectively reduces the risk of students not meeting grade-level standards while providing accelerated and on-track students the instruction they need to thrive."

Esperanza (Spanish Dyslexia Curriculum)

 

 Esperanza is the only Spanish Orton-Gillingham program in the world.   The Esperanza program is a Spanish multi-sensory structured language approach for reading, writing, and spelling. The goal of the Esperanza program is to provide a multi-sensory, sequential, systematic approach to achieve Spanish literacy.

The Esperanza program has an early childhood program for Preschool and Kindergarten called "Lenguaje y Lectura." This program focuses on early literacy skills.  Its components include phonological awareness, the alphabetic principle, phonics, early writing skills, oral language, and comprehension.

The next level of the Esperanza program is designed for emergent readers in first and second grade. The goal of this level is to systematically and cumulatively develop a strong knowledge of the structure of the Spanish language so that the student can read, write, and spell in their primary language. 

 

Secondary:

 

Hidalgo ISD has adopted the PowerUP program for secondary education.

There are two major components:

 

ONLINE WORD TRAINING uses technology to strengthen foundational literacy skills.

  • Vowels and Consonants

  • Word Reading and Blending

  • Syllabication

  • Prefixes and Suffixes

  • Greek and Latin Roots

TEACHER-LED TEXT TRAINING leverages teacher guidance for close reading of challenging, relevant texts.

  • Vocabulary/Morphology

  • Grammar/Usage

  • Reading Comprehension

  • Writing

  • Listening/Speaking

Core 5

 

"Core5 se desarrolló con la misión de basarse en la ciencia de la lectura, brinda oportunidades de aprendizaje equitativas para todos los estudiantes, promoviendo su éxito y bienestar. Core5 sigue un modelo de aprendizaje combinado adaptativo que ofrece instrucción de lectura explícita, sistemática y personalizada. Este enfoque permite a los educadores brindar instrucción de alfabetización diferenciada a estudiantes de todas las capacidades. Al utilizar el programa probado por investigaciones de Lexia, Core5 reduce efectivamente el riesgo de que los estudiantes no cumplan con los estándares de nivel de grado al tiempo que brinda a los estudiantes acelerados y a nivel en la instrucción que necesitan para prosperar. "

Esperanza (Currículo en Español de Dislexia)

 

Esperanza es el único programa Orton-Gillingham español en el mundo. El programa Esperanza tiene un enfoque de lenguaje estructurado multisensorial en español para la lectura, escritura y ortografía. El objetivo del programa Esperanza es proporcionar un enfoque multisensorial, secuencial y sistemático para lograr la alfabetización en español.

 

El programa Esperanza cuenta con un programa para Preescolar y Kinder llamado "Lenguaje y Lectura". Este programa se centra en las habilidades de alfabetización temprana. Sus componentes incluyen conciencia fonológica, principio alfabético, fonética, habilidades tempranas de escritura, lenguaje oral y comprensión.

 

El siguiente nivel del programa Esperanza está diseñado para lectores emergentes de primer y segundo grado. El objetivo de este nivel es desarrollar sistemática y acumulativamente un conocimiento sólido de la estructura del idioma español para que el estudiante pueda leer, escribir y deletrear en su idioma natal.

Programas para Secundaria:

 

Hidalgo ISD ha adoptado el programa Power UP para la educación secundaria.

 

El programa esta compuesto de componentes principales:

 

  • ENTRENAMIENTO DE PALABRAS EN LINEA utiliza la tecnología para fortalecer las habilidades fundamentales de alfabetización.

 

   - Vocales y consonantes

    -Lectura y combinación de palabras

   - Silabeo

   - Prefijos y sufijos

  -  Raíces griegas y latinas

 

  • EL ENTRENAMIENTO DE TEXTOS DIRIGIDA POR EL PROFESOR aprovecha la orientación del docente para una lectura atenta de textos desafiantes y relevantes.

 

   - Vocabulario/Morfología

  -  Gramática/Uso de convenciones

  -  Comprensión de lectura

    -Escritura

    -Escuchar/Hablar
